They can’t be role models.. they are human just like you

Nicki Minaj. Beyonce. Rihanna. Lebron James. Ciara. Kate Middleton. Angelina Jolie. Brad Pitt. Jennifer Aniston. Think of every celebrity or pseudo celebrity you can. They have money, power, huge homes, expensive cars and more. They go on glorious vacations and can buy the best of things without blinking twice.

Now before any fandoms have issues with me, I am only being honest. Look at them from realistic perspectives. These people worked their asses off and have attained a status that it seems only few have but there seem to be a lot more few these days. Every one I have mentioned or not mentioned have worked their asses off. Now, if you view them as a role model because of their work ethic, I am all for that but I know that is not always the case.

We are sometimes too busy looking at the end result and then when they do something we deem out of character. Again, we do not know these people. We only know what they are willing to share. Whether through interviews, music, acting, writing or sports, we can only have a glimpse of an idea of their lives are like.

I have seen some interviews that some celebs have given. Most of the time, they will state that they have the life they had because of how they grew up and what they wanted their lives not to be.  That is the difference.  These people have made the decision to make their lives better for them and their families. But they are not perfect and they won’t be. The work ethic they have, I applaud. But it seems people forget how many years it takes to get to that point. Sacrificing years of what would be considered doing normal life to be great and achieve much is something most humans are not willing to do.

The saying “you reap what you sow” goes a very long way in life. You have to put in the work. And yes this includes anyone you feel “does nothing” but is famous. They have to maintain. It is still work even though it may not seem like it.

Celebrities have issues as regular everyday people do. Just think about what mental gymnastics you go through in life and what you want to do with it. We are a product of our decisions. They may not always be right but we make them. I know we look to celebrities to be better or smarter, but they fuck up too.

Their personal lives may not be great and I know someone who said” well they gt paid for their jobs” yes they do but they do not get paid for the world to caste judgment on their private lives.

This day and age of social media allows some people to be the cruelest. There is a huge difference between constructive criticism and being downright hateful and unfortunately because we live behind machines now, we feel the need to spew so much hate when it is not warranted.

Role models are found every day of your lives. Please don’t limit yourself or your family to just celebrities.  Sow Well, Reap Well.
